Let me first start off saying before we get into the explanation of Body Talk. Its foundation was derived originally from Applied Kinesiology. This system was developed by Dr George Goodheart, a Chiropractic physician who taught this method to thousands of Chiropractic students. This system of testing uses muscle resistance as a reflection of the anterior horn motor neuron of the muscle begin tested. This new system of diagnosis evaluates and corrects the imbalances of the nervous system irritation. This natural therapy was designed to remove toxins and irritants providing health and prevention of disease.
"Weakness (inhibition) of any muscle, Goodheart observes, causes the contralateral, antagonistic or opposing muscles to contract, thereby causing pain. When a muscle contracts without the normal antagonistic response, it isn't the tight or contracted muscle that needs help, it is the weak (inhibited) muscle that needs to be strengthened (facilitated). Thereby restoring muscle balance and relieving secondary muscle spasm. A real case of primary muscle spasm is, in reality, seldom seen. It is, rather, a secondary condition".
Applied Kinesiology allows the holistic doctor to diagnose through the use of the manual muscle testing response. The need for the application of a variety of sensory receptor based therapies that, when appropriately applied, result in improved neurological function. This system of evaluation and treatment can be applied to determining what nutritional supplements you need. This has a direct correlation with the acupuncture meridians. Each organ can be stimulated by using an acupuncture point or by using neurolymphatic receptors as well.
"Body Talk" will use what it needs from the foundation of Applied Kinesiology, and apply tapping as a primary tool in treating the individual.
The Body Talk System
The fundamental objective of this new system is the evaluation and correction of nervous system irritation. This is achieved through the identification of mechanical, chemical and/or psychic irritants. To begin this process, the practitioner lightly taps you on the top of the head, which stimulates your brain and causes it to initiate corrections to the broken circuits. This tapping activates the brain centers in a way that causes the brain to reevaluate the body mind's state of health and then align the frequencies within the body mind to match the formula that was created.
You then tap you on the sternum to "save" the corrected energy circuit in the heart center and to share this information with every single cell in the body. The heart is responsible for communicating the state of the body's health to the rest of the body through the heart beat. This means that your body will remember these changes after the session. Just like hitting the save button on a document will save changes to the computer hard drive so you can access them again later.
Lastly, lightly tap your navel to stimulate the digesting and assimilating function of the gut brain, which is frequently referred to as the enteric nervous system. After the brain has activated the changes from the formula and the heart brain has stored them, the changes need to be fully taken in and absorbed or “digested” by the gut. By tapping the navel, it appears that the changes become integrated at a “gut” level, becoming more fully embodied.
Because your body stores the changes made by the brain during the tapping process, this means that every formula or circuit that is corrected builds on the one before. Your body actually remembers the "BodyTalk" sessions it receives and your healing process will continue with each additional session you have.
My personal opinion on the Body Talk System, is that it has great merit . The problem I find is that a qualified physician who has undergone intense training understanding the human physiology, biochemistry, neuroanatomy etc would be better suited to use this system for maximum results. I would be more comfortable knowing that my problems are being diagnosed properly before undertaking any healing process. It is most favorable to know what you are working with, and then using the skill plus intuitive findings for more accurate results.
